It may be recalled here that  there has been a demand since some time from Hindu outfits to make traditional dress compulsory while visiting temples.

State Dharmika Parishat President Kashekodi Sooryanarayana Bhat  has said though there is a demand for  dress code, the  Endowment Department has convened a meeting to discuss the issue.

Kateel Temple Chief Priest Harinarayana Asranna, while commenting on the banner relating to dress code, clarified that the government has not issued any order and  the banner was put up in the interest of public and the dress code was not mandatory.
