ADR survey gives 24th ranking to DK MP Nalin Kumar Kateel

 Mangalore, Mar 30, 2014 : Dakshina Kannada MP Nalin Kumar Kateel has secured the 24th spot in the  nation as far as overall achievement  as a Parliamentarian is concerned. He stands second among the MP’s of the state and   already tops the list  among MPs of the state in effective utilisation of grants, as per the survey.

The  Association for Democratic Reforms with conducted a Nation Wide Survey on behalf of India Today In has in its results has  given Nalin the 24th spot while Congress vice President Rahul Gandhi stands 355th in the list. Excluding  Union Ministers, 373 MPs have been included in the survey.

The ranking has been given as per the MP’s attendance in Parliament, questions raised by them, utilisation of MP fund, attendance in Standing Committee meetings, achievements of MPs and on the basis of the  response of the electorate to their functioning.

As per the survey, Nalin Kumar Kateel’s attendance in the Parliament is 71.3 per cent, and  he  has raised 242 questions. Of his Rs 19 crore MP grants, he has utilised Rs 15.96 crores at the time of the survey. He is also a member of a Parliament Committee and has  secured 6.5 marks in total performance in Lok Sabha and  has been awarded 8.08 points as far as voter satisfaction is concerned.
