Kasargod, July 7, 2014:Two Keralites who are reportedly involved in smuggling gold, have been found murdered. It has been reliably gathered that police have detained three persons in this case.
Those killed are Fahim from Kozhikode and Naafir from Thalassery in Kannur. The suspicion is that the two who were staying in a lodge at Attavar in Mangalore were killed there and then the body dumped in Kasargod. However, there is no information as to yet regarding the place where the body was found on July 6, Sunday.
One suspicion is that they might have been killed at least four days ago. The accused are said to be from Cherkala.
Sources say the duo who were killed were in the Gulf for seven months had returned to India through Bangalore Airport recently and had reportedly smuggled 4.5 kg gold.
As the murder is learnt to have taken place in Mangalore, the police from there had come to Kasargod for investigation and detained three persons.
