152 new Covid-19 positive cases in DK; 113 cases in Udupi on September 7

Mangaluru, September 7, 2020: 152 people from Dakshina Kannada (DK) and 113 people from Udupi tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday, September 7, 2020. Eight more Covid-19 fatalities were recorded in DK and two in Udupi district today.

Among the 152 new cases in DK, 72 are from Mangaluru, 32 from Bantwal, 18 from Puttur, 16 from Sullia, 9 from Beltangady and 6 are from outside DK district. As many as 313 patients were discharged from hospital today.

With this the total Covid 19 positive cases in the DK district rose to 15,078. As many as 11,754 persons have been discharged and 2,915 cases are currently active. 409 deaths have occurred including one today.

Udupi district has reported 113 fresh cases on Monday. Among them, 64 are from Udupi, 36 from Kundapur, 5 from Karkala and 8 from outside the district. Now, the Udupi has a total of 12,840 cases with 1,780 still being treated at the designated hospitals. 10,946 patients recovered and discharged including 183 today. The district has reported 114 COVID-19 fatality.
