’Miracle baby’ dies in hospital - Aug 24

Mangalore, Aug 25, 2014:  The nine-day old baby of Pushparaj-Gowri couple from Kumpala born premature and was kept under observation in a private hospital in Deralakatte was declared dead on Aug 23,  was found alive at the burial ground as reported by by media;died at a private hospital in the city on August 24.

 

 

The parents who in great grief  at Chembugudde burial ground were shocked when the baby showed signs of life at final rituals.  The parents immediately admitted the baby in another private hospital, but the child failed to respond to the treatment and died on Aug 24.

  New information has come to light in this regard it is reported.  Dr Raghuveer, senior doctor at the private hospital in Deralakatte where the child was born, denied any negligence committed by the junior doctor. The child was born with kidney failure. Though it was treated in neonatal intensive care unit, there was no hope of it living for long time and the parents were informed the same. The parents wished to take the baby to their home and they got it discharged after signing the necessary documents. Neither the hospital told them that the baby is dead when it discharged, nor were they given death certificate, he has said.
