‘Target Hindu Girls’ racket operating in district : Bhajrangdal leader

Udupi, Jan 11, 2014: The Bhajrangdal has alleged that a group by the name ‘Target Hindus, Target Hindu girls’ was operative in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts with an intention to trap innocent girls.

 

Speaking to the media here on January 11, Saturday, Sharan Pumpwell, Bhajrangdal Convenor said there was a  well orgnaised racket of luring Hindu girls into the trap and then taking videos and photographs in order to blackmail them. There are even instances of such women forced to go in for conversion, he said.

Pointing out at statistics, Sharan said 90 per cent of the Hindu girls elope with Muslim boys. On the Derlakatte incident, he said the police need to initiate strict action against the culprits without yielding to pressure from any corner.

Referring to the latest case, wherein a youth of Udupi has been arrested for uploading obscene photos of a girl on Facebook, Sharan said the accused must be booked for rape and blackmail.

 

Posters appeared in front of Several Colleges in Udupi

Posters make sudden appearance: In another development posters depicting the obscene pictures of a girl which were uploaded in Facebook by the accused who is now arrested, were seen on the walls of several colleges in the town on Saturday, creating some sort of tension. Some of the wordings used in the posters were also provocative and the police who gathered information of the same, duly removed the posters.
