Mangalore, June 21, 2013: ‘Behind the Silicon Mask’, the debut novel of Eshwar Sundaresan was launched in the city at a function held at Lions Seva Mandir this evening. The function was jointly organized by city based NGO Centre for Integrated Learning along with Lions Club Mangalore and Westland Ltd., the publishers of the book.
Prof. Maria D’costa, Director of UXCEL and Director, Trinity Guide Hall London, Mangalore Centre released the book in the presence of the author Eshwar Sundaresan, V. U. George, Editor-Publisher and Mahesh Nayak, Executive Editor, Mangalore Today English Monthly, Dr. Arvind Kedige, President, Lions Club Mangalore and Sachitha Nandagopal, Executive Director, Centre for Integrated Learning.
Speaking on the occasion, V.U. George recalled the author’s connection with Mangalore Today where he began his writing career as a contributing journalist.
Sumith S. Rao, an avid book reader, gave his review of the book. Mahesh Nayak then engaged the author in a tete-a-tete for about half an hour.
In her presidential address Prof. Maria D’costa praised the efforts of the author and expressed her best wishes to him.
CIL Convener S. Nandagopal welcomed the gathering and Dr. Arvind Kedige proposed the vote of thanks. RJ Vihwas was the Master of Ceremonies.
