The man was identified as Sanjay Bhure (25), a resident of Wadala. He works with a private bank in Colaba, while the police did not disclose much about the woman, except that she is 23 years old.

According to RPF officials, the incident took place last Monday at 11 pm.

The couple was trying to get intimate near the Dadar railway ticket counter. Several people ignored them, but some who were with their families objected.

A few went up to the couple and asked them to stop, but they did not.

Complaints
A few people who were buying tickets informed the RPF officials. Three RPF constables, Rakesh Sharma, Sunil Gadakh and Sanjay Salunkhe, went to the couple and asked them to stop but they continued to kiss and touch each other.

The cops tried to separate them, but Bhure assaulted them. He even abused them verbally.

The couple was taken to RPF’s Dadar police station, where the woman’s parents were informed and she was sent home.

Charged for indecency
Bhure was charged under the Railway Act’s Sections 145B and 146, which include committing any nuisance or act of indecency or using abusive language, and obstructing a railway servant in his duty.

The next morning, he was produced in court and released.

A police officer said, “The couple had been caught indulging in the behaviour at Dadar bridge, and were reprimanded by police, after which they went to the ticket booking counter. They were both in a completely inebriated state. The incident was even recorded on CCTV cameras.”
