Infosys Foundation grants Rs 33 cr to Karnataka police to fight cybercrimes

Bangalore, April 12, 2024: The CSR wing of Infosys, the Infosys Foundation, has pledged a grant of Rs 33 crore to enhance the cybercrime investigation capabilities of the Karnataka police.

In collaboration with the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of Karnataka and the Data Security Council of India (DSCI), the foundation has renewed its commitment to the Centre for Cyber Crime Investigation Training and Research (CCITR) at CID Headquarters, Bengaluru, through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

According to a statement released on Wednesday, Infosys Foundation is extending its support to CCITR for four more years, reinforcing the state police force’s ability to tackle cybercrime.

The MoU aims to strengthen cybercrime prosecution capabilities by providing training and conducting research in digital forensics and cybercrime investigation.
