Here’s one (Wiki)leak he’d rather you didn’t see...

Mtoday news / Mail

Julian Assange has one fatal weakness:  He may be the scourge of governments and evil corporations worldwide, but it appears Wikileaks lothario Julian Assange has one fatal weakness - he can’t dance.

Demonstrating his ’silky smooth’ disco skills, the lanky 39-year-old whistle-blower - who has allegedly fathered four love children around the world - struts his funky stuff at an Icelandic nightclub in 2009.

Assange, who is said to ’enjoy the idea of lots and lots of Julians on every continent’, can be seen galloping across a deserted Rekyjavik dance floor, waving his arms wildly to the pumping techno music.

DJ Seth Sharp, who recorded the video, didn’t realise who the man was until a picture emerged last month showing Assange on the same night

The video was recorded by DJ Seth Sharp who claims to have filmed Assange at the unnamed Rekyjavik club on December 5 2009.

Speaking to Forbes, Mr Sharp said: ’Julian was really letting go and all over the dance floor and I was really impressed at his lack of shyness.

’So I filmed him and took photos. His white hair was also striking since the clientèle at the club was usually much younger-looking.’

The former Yale graduate who now DJ’s in Iceland did not realise who Assange was at the time.

It was only after a picture he took of Assange that night leaked onto the internet last month that he made the connection and decided to release the video.

According to Mr Sharp, Assange was initially reluctant to be filmed.

He said: ’I usually take photos of the crowd dancing when I am DJing.  I thought it was cool that an older guy was going crazy to our music, since we played for a younger crowd.’

The video is not the first time Assange’s dance moves have been called into question.

In his tell all book, former colleague Daniel Domscheit-Berg said the WikiLeaks editor-in-chief took up a lot of space when he danced: ’Almost like a tribesman performing some kind of ritual.

He wrote: ’He [Assange] didn’t look very rhythmic or coordinated, and he didn’t seem to have that much feeling for the music, but he did possess a certain cool.’

Website Gawker later quoted a Wikileaks insider as saying: ’The fixation on seeding the world with mini-leakers springs from a sense of inborn superiority.

’He [Assange] feels obliged to spread his genes. In other words, he thinks he is so good that the world needs more of his kids.’

Assange has been previously described as a ’tribesman, performing some kind of ritual’ on the dance floor

Assange is currently under house arrest in Britain after losing the first round of his fight against extradition to Sweden.

Swedish prosecutors want Assange to stand trial for the alleged sexual assault of two women last year.

The Wikileak supremo denies the charges, saying they are part of a wider conspiracy to discredit his work for the notorious website.
