Delhi violence: Acid thrown at paramilitary forces from top of houses in Karawal Nagar

Delhi, Feb 25, 2020: Acid has reportedly been thrown at the paramilitary forces in Karawal Nagar where the personnel were deployed to control the situation. According to the reports, acid has been thrown at the security forces from the top of the houses in Karawal Nagar in Delhi as tension smouldered and violence cut a swathe through several localities in North East district over the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), IndiaToday reported.

 

 

At least 13 people have been killed and over 180 injured as fresh violence tore through North East Delhi over the amended citizenship law. In view of the continued violence in the city, curfew has been imposed in four violence-hit areas -- Jaffrabad, Maujpur, Chand Bagh, and Karawal Nagar -- of Delhi.

In view of the continuous violence in various parts of the city, a shoot-at-sight order has been issued in the affected areas of Delhi.
