CRPF officer shoots colleague, self dead in Delhi

Delhi, Jul 24, 2020: A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) sub-inspector shot at another CRPF inspector and then killed self in Delhi’s posh Lodhi Estate area late on Friday night.
Senior police officers rushed to the spot after gunshots were heard at 61 Lodhi Estate on Friday night. When the police reached the spot, they found two CRPF jawans lying injured. Police said both the CRPF officers succumbed to their injuries later.
Investigation revealed that there was a tussle between the two, which escalated on Friday night and led to Sub-inspector Karnail Singh opening fire at his colleague Dashrat Singh.
The 61 Lodhi Estate mansion is allotted to the Home Ministry.
Further investigation is underway.
