Youth nabbed for raping, posting obscene photos of girl friend on FB

Sullia, June 21, 2013: Police have arrested a youth hailing from Aletti village in Sullia on the charges of raping a girl and then posting her nude photos on Facebook.
The arrested youth is Kusumadhar(26). It is learnt, Kusumadhar who ran a tea stall in Bangalore was in love with a girl, a clerk in the Forest Department, who also happened to be a distant relative.
Sources said he had lured the girl to a house in an isolated area to speak about his marriage plans and then reportedly raped her and shot her nude photos. It is said he later uploaded it to Facebook.
The girl’s family which had opposed the proposal in the past feels Kusumadhar aimed at defaming the girl.
The victim has alleged that he had not only uploaded the photo to her FB homepage but had also forwarded it to several of his Facebook friends.
The Sullia police are conducting further investigations.
