Minister in-charge of the district B. Ramanath Rai, who felicitated the recipients, said that it was the responsibility of youngsters to take care of elders. Youngsters should lend their ear to elders who tend to get depressed when neglected. The State government was committed towards fine-tuning services meant for senior citizens, he said.

The function was delayed by 90 minutes as minister Rai said that a “pressing engagement” delayed him.

As there is a trend of nuclear Families these days the children never get the love and affection of the grandparents . They always miss these things.Usually the young ones do not know their importance in some cases they do even know how to greet , but the credit of such goes to the parents. One thing is always true that every individual will pass through this stage at that time you will realize and  understand their value .

There are very few families who take care of the elders ,but never keep them away it hurts the sentiments. They too have feelings and want to be with the family and children.
