Yeddyurappa promises to develop Byndoor into model constituency

Kundapur, June 23, 2014: : Shimoga MP and former chief minister BS Yeddyurappa who participated in a thanksgiving programme organised at the JNR Kala Mandir at Byndoor on June 21, Saturday  has promised  the electorate that he would strive to develop Byndoor  as a model constituency.

 

Yeddyurappa also expressed his gratitude to the people of Byndoor assembly segment for the overwhelming support they extended to him during the elections.

Referring to the landslide victory for the  BJP In the recent Lok Sabha elections, Yeddyurappa exuded confidence that the  party would   rule the nation for another 15 to 20 years and added that Prime Minister  Narendra Modi will make India strong and powerful.

On the recent hike in rail fares, Yeddyurappa pointed fingers to the erstwhile railway minister Mallikarjun Kharge  who had proposed a hike. He further added that the hike was inevitable in order to improve functioning of Indian Railways.

Yeddyurappa was felicitated on the occasion by presenting him a silver sword. Udupi District BJP President Tingale Vikramarjuna Hegde,  former MP BY Raghavendra, former MLA Lakshminarayana and others were present.

The former CM also visited  several sea erosion affected areas of the taluk including Shiroor, Maravanthe and Koderi.

Later, speaking to the media men at the residence of BJP leader BM Sukumar Shetty, Yeddyurappa said he would meet union ministers with a  request for additional funds for the permanent sea wall construction project.

Yeddyurappa said a request would be made to Railways Minister to set up a separate Mangalore Railway Division and to fulfill other railway demands of the region.
