Mangaluru, Jan 8, 2016 :    In a model move in Karnataka, a district administration is making plans  to see that bandhs, especially those called by the  RGS - ’red, green and saffron’ brigades, are not effective.  DK DC Adoor B Ibrahim has reiterated that bandhs, have definitely negative effects on the day to day lives of people and the economy.

DK DC IbrahimThey also affect the overall image of the district apart from the inconvenience it causes to the public. "A mob of 50 to 100 persons from RGS brigades holding the entire population of 20 lakh to ransom is simply intolerable and is not to be put up with.


A stop to this up-start action must be stopped for good.  The DC also detailed many steps he has discussed with leaders and hopes to put in place sooner than later.

DC is right,  he has to concentrate on the overall development of the district. It will effect the economy and unnecessary bundhs must put an end.

The bandhs cause a huge loss to the economy but the public generally co-operates to avoid the damage of any valuables. Every individual cannot seek a police protection but instead be silent.
