Mangaluru, Jan 8, 2016 : In a model move in Karnataka, a district administration is making plans to see that bandhs, especially those called by the RGS - ’red, green and saffron’ brigades, are not effective. DK DC Adoor B Ibrahim has reiterated that bandhs, have definitely negative effects on the day to day lives of people and the economy.
They also affect the overall image of the district apart from the inconvenience it causes to the public. "A mob of 50 to 100 persons from RGS brigades holding the entire population of 20 lakh to ransom is simply intolerable and is not to be put up with.
A stop to this up-start action must be stopped for good. The DC also detailed many steps he has discussed with leaders and hopes to put in place sooner than later.
