Mangalore Today News Network

Sri Rama Vidya Kendra, KalladkaBantwal, May 10, 2013: Consequent upon the reports that there had been a raid by forest officials on the Sri Rama Vidya Kendra at Kalladka run by RSS leader Kalladka Prabhaker Bhat,  Assistant Conservator of Forests Padmanabha Gowda ha clarified that it was not a raid, but  the forest officials had visited the school on a request by the school authorities and had shifted the wild animals there to the Pilikula Nisargadhama in the outskirts of Mangalore.

The ACF has also stated that the school used to treat injured wild animals in its park and then entrust it to the care of the Forest Department. He said the school authorities had requested the department to shift the animals four months ago itself. Though the department officials had visited the school on Thursday, they could not take the animals along due to non-availability of conveyance facilities. He said on Friday,  two deer, two pythons and two other wild animals have been shifted from the school to the Pilikula Nisargadhama.

He also refuted reports of a raid and clarified that there has been no raid.
