Thriller by Novelist With Mangalore Connection To Be Launched On Friday

Behind The Silicon MaskMangalore, June 18, 2013: The murder mystery novel `Behind The Silicon Mask’ authored by Eshwar Sundaresan will be launched at a programme to be held at Lions Seva Mandir in the city on Friday (June 21) at 6.30pm. The programme is being organised by Centre for Integrated Learning, a city based NGO in association with the publisher of the book Westland Limited and Lions Club of Mangalore.

The launch programme will feature a discussion between the author and Mahesh Nayak, Executive Editor of Mangalore Today on the novel and various facets of being a writer.
 
The launch programme will be presided over by Prof. Maria Phyllis D’Costa, Director of UXCEL and Director of Trinity Guild Hall London, Mangalore Centre. Sumith Rao will speak about the novel.

An engineer by qualification, starting his career as a techie at the IT giant Infosys, he quit his lucrative IT career to pursue his love for writing. He started experimenting his flair for writing when he was at Infosys Mangalore and began contributing to monthly magazine Mangalore Today. After being posted on an onsite assignment in the San Jose and Milwaukee, USA he chose to settle down in Bangalore and take up the Writer’s career seriously. In his stint as a budding writer, he has sailed through the roughs of the industry and has been successful in publishing three books. His first published book `Wiser After’ - anthology of short stories received widespread appreciation, while his second `Bangalored – The Expat Story’ is now in its third edition. His latest book `Behind The Silicon Mask’ published by Westland Ltd. Has been acknowledged as the Best Thriller of this summer.

He has been an Asia Journalism Fellow in 2009 at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. He is also the winner of the 2008 Oxford Bookstore e-Author Contest, Uniun-Reliance Timeout Short Story Contest in 2009, won second place in Goethe Institute-Max Mueller Bhavan `Dubasch’ contest 2008, and second prize in Unisun-British Council short story contest in 2005.
