Moodbidri, May 29, 2013 : In a rarest of rare case, two elderly couple breathed
their last on the same day within a gap of a few
hours at Daregudde Padubettu here on May 27, Monday.
If Narsi Shedti(90) died at around 3.30 pm, her centenarian husband Angara Shetty breathed his last after completing the final rites of his wife the same day.
Incidentally Angara had suffered a heart attack two months ago, but had miraculously survived even when family members had lost all hopes. Probably, he was destined to follow his wife and unite with her in death two.
The couple has five sons and four daughters.
