Rider killed in Bike-Tanker collision near Puttur.

Puttur: August 17, 2015: A 32-year-old man died after the motorcycle he was riding was hit by a fuel tanker in Perne near Puttur on Sunday evening.

According to Puttur Traffic police, Ajay (32) resident of Tumakuru was on his way to the city to get treatment for a recurrent skin ailment. For every session of treatment in the city, Ajay used to go on his motorcycle.

On Sunday evening, his motorcycle was hit by the fuel tanker bound to Bengaluru.

After being hit by the tanker, Ajay fell off his bike and came under the wheels of the vehicle. Ajay died on the spot.

The police have arrested the driver of the fuel tanker.

A case has been registered at local police station

The accidents of heavy vehicle and two-wheelers are increasing. Most of the accidents occurs due to the rash driving of the tanker drivers.
