RTI activist Baliga murder: One more accused arrested

Mangaluru, May 18,2016: The police have arrested Shailesh in connection with the murder of RTI activist Vinayak Baliga. With this, the police have so far arrested four persons in the case.

vinayak baligaThe 51-year-old Vinayak Baliga was hacked to death near his house at Kodialbail on March 21. The police earlier arrested Vineet Poojary, Nishit Devadiga and Shiva alias Shivaprasad.

According to a press release, Shailesh (40) was arrested from a hideout on the outskirts of the city. Shailesh allegedly conspired with the other arrested persons in the murder of Baliga.

The police said that he worked as a driver for a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) politician.

The police said that efforts are on to trace prime accused, Naresh Shenoy and Srikant who have been absconding since the murder.

All a month still the police are cannot been successful in arresting the persons involved in the murder of Baliga. Are they delaying in arresting the main accused?
