Seeliya kasargod nurseKasargod, July 5, 2014: Forty six nurses of Kerala origin were captive of the militants in Iraq their release was secured just one day ago. The special aircraft carrying the nurses landed with many other Indians at the Kochi airport at this afternoon. Seeliya aged about 24 daughter of George, residening at Rajapura Kallar, Peruballa, Kasargod; is said to be back to the happiness of her family.

Seeliya,  was earlier working in Delhi and joined Taching hospital in Tikrit, Iraq a year ago. She was to return last month end, but became a captive in the internal conflict in Iraq and had to remain along with the other captive nurses.

Seeliya’s  family reached Kochi airport this morning. As the aircraft carrying Seeliya landed in the afternoon, they welcomed her and expected to reach Kasargod on saturday night.  The return of Seeliya is a big cause for celebrations it is learnt.
