Mangluru, Jun 12, 2020: Nitte University has been ranked 74th amongst the Universities in India in the National Institutional Ranking Framework which was released on 11th June 2020 by the Ministry for Human Resources Development. This is the fourth successive year that the University is recognized among the Top 100 Universities of the nation.
Three of the constituent colleges of the University figure in the Top 50 Institutions in their respective disciplines. AB Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences has been ranked 5th amongst the Dental colleges of India. KS Hegde Medical Academy has been ranked 36th in the country amongst Medical Colleges. Nitte Gulabi Shetty Memorial Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (NGMIPS) is ranked 49th among Pharmacy colleges.
The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) was launched in 2015 by Ministry of Human Resources and Development, Government of India, to rank higher educational institutions in the country based on objective criteria. The rankings consider parameters like teaching-learning resources, research productivity, student outcomes, outreach, inclusivity and peer perception. Nitte University is in the Top 25 in the teaching-learning resources parameter and in Top 10 in the outreach and inclusivity parameter. AB Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences ranked 2nd in country in the Perception parameter in the discipline of Dentistry.
