Mangaluru, Nov 10, 2017: Tipu Sultan Jayanthi was celebrated by the District Administration at the Netravathi Auditorium of Dakshina Kannada Zilla Panchayat on November 10, Friday amid heavy security following opposition by BJP and several right wing organisations. The programme was organised with the co-operation of the Zilla Panchayat and the Department of Kannada and Culture.
DK District in-charge Minister B Ramanatha Rai inaugurated the programme and also released a booklet on Tipu Sultan on the occasion.
