Landless people in Udupi district to soon get sites : DC Dr Muddumohan

Udupi, July 5, 2014 :  Deputy Commissioner of Udupi Dr Muddumohan has said that steps would be taken on a war footing to distribute sites and title deeds to 600 landless people in the district at the earliest.

Presiding over a meeting held at the DC office complex at Rajathadri on July 4, Friday, he also directed the   three taluk panchayat executive officers to prepare a list of beneficiaries within the next ten days. The DC also informed that a total of 120 acre land had initially been identified to be distributed to beneficiaries in three taluks.

 However, 150 more acres of land, 50 acres in each of the three taluks were later identified  as per the directions of the district in-charge minister who had  wanted the benefits to reach 1000 beneficiaries.

The DC said all eligible beneficiaries will get sites and added the pending files will be scrutinised.

M Kanagavalli, ZP CEO, Kumar, Additional DC, Pranesh Rao, ZP Deputy Secretary, Vijay Kumar Shetty, Chief Project Officer and several officials were present.
