Gangolli SI Vasappa Naik removed the locks of his chained legs after Kharvi reached his destination. Another chain  was removed by Dr Vijayshanker. Later Yuva Brigade honoured Sampath. He is the son of Devaraya Kharvi-Sanjeeva couple of Kharvikeri.

The feat of this young boy has been praised by one and all. Sampath was trained in swimming by his father and his uncles.  He has been training rigorously since three months for this feat and plans to  swim by chaining his hands along with his legs and make an attempt to enter India Book of Records and Guinness World Record.
