K Anil promoted Deputy General Manager of IOB

Mangalore, May 28, 2013: K. Anil, Senior Regional Manager of Indian Overseas Bank, Mangalore Region has now been elevated as the Deputy General Manager of the Bank.

Hailing from Polenahalli in Tumkur District, Anil is a post graduate in MFSc from the University of Agricultural Science, Bangalore and a recipient of Indian Council of Agricultural Research Scholarship. He is a certified associate of Indian Institute of Bankers and a diploma in Bank Management from Indian Institute of bankers.  

 

He joined Indian Overseas Bank in 1984 as Agricultural Officer and has since then served the Bank in various capacities.When he was a Branch Manager in Bangalore,  his branch was thrice bagged the All India Best Metropolitan Branch Award.

Under his excellent leadership, Mangalore Region of Indian Overseas Bank has surpassed all the business targets and became the all India Number one Region of the bank for two consecutive years and was also ranked the second best in all India in LIC business and declared as Triple Bima Region, a press release from the Bank, said.

He is also the President of IOB Kannada Balaga and Honorary President of Nammavaru Association, Mangalore.

Prior to joining IOB  Anil  was a research associate at Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad, Extension Guide at University of Agricultural Science, Bangalore and Superintendent of Fisheries, Government of Karnataka.
