Janavadi Mahila Sanghatane stages dharna ; demands strengthening of public health system

Mangaluru, July 28, 2020: The DK District Committee of the Akhila Bharatha Janavadi Mahila Sanghatane staged a demonstration in front of the Mini Vidhana Saudha here on July 28, Tuesday demanding measures to strengthen the public health system.

Addressing the protestors, Jayanthi B Shetty, District Committee President of Janavadi Mahila Sanghatane alleged that the Union as well as the state governments have completely failed to instill courage and confidence in the people to face the Covid-19 pandemic. Alleging that private hospitals were fleecing the people, she said due to the Covid pandemic many people with other ailments are suffering for want of suitable treatment.

She also alleged that the packages announced by the governments are not helping the common man and warned of an intensified protest if the government fails to solve the problems of the common people.

SFI leader Madhuri Bolar, Janavadi Mahila Sanghatane leaders Vilasini, Lolakshi, Bharathi Bolar, Prameela Devadiga and others took part in the protest.
