Hopeful that coastal people will vote for change this time: Deputy CM D K Shivakumar

Mangaluru, Feb 17, 2024: Deputy Chief Minister and KPCC President DK Shivakumar who is in Mangaluru to participate in the State level party workers’ convention, has exuded confidence that the people of the coastal district would vote for a change during the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. “Nothing is permanent in politics and nothing is impossible," he said.

He said development has hindered in the coastal district which has also seen an increase in unemployment problem. People who get educated in the district have to travel to Bengaluru, Mumbai  and even abroad for job opportunities, he said.

On the Gerosa school controversy and the threat to stage a protest if the FIR against the MLAs was not withdrawn, the Deputy CM said law will take its own course and clarified that he would not interfere in this issue.
