Mangaluru, Dec 22, 2015 : After the two-day AYUSH Habba,  a four-day Pilikula Habba with different activities awaits Mangalurueans -  December 24 - 27.  Just a brief over view indicates:

Karnataka Tulu, Konkani, Beary Kodava, Arebhashe Sanskrthi and Sahitya Academies and Kalkura Foundation have joined hands in organising this festival at the Dr. Shivaram Karant Pilikula Nisargadhama.  December 24-27.

According to S.A. Prabhakara Sharma, executive director of the Nisargadhama, there would be a food festival on all four days from 11 a.m.   It would include iconic cake exhibition and serving of cake and Christmas delicacies.

The first day events would include local traditional games including lagori, Tulu quiz, singing Tulu songs, staging Tulu dance and magic show by Kudroli Ganesh.   There would a district-level men’s volleyball tournament on the second day.

Winning teams would take home prize and trophy of Rs. 6,000, Rs. 5,000, Rs. 4,000 and Rs. 3,000 in the order. In addition, there would be individual prizes.  Other activities on December 25 would include cake exhibition, quiz on Konkani tradition and culture, carol singing in Konkani, English, Tulu and Kannada and Christmas related activities.

On December 26 there would be daff competition, Arabi dance, Beary and Kodava orchestra, Kolkai and Kodava dance, Beary folk dance and mehandi competition for women.

The Mangalore is a Multi relegious city because it marks the importance to all the festivals. As its the Chritmas Eve the children are having holiday they can enjoy with their family at the Pilikula Habba.
