First Intl. Tulu movie ‘Nirel’ screened to packed audience in city

Mangalore, Mar 1, 2014 : Cinepolis at City Centre Mall in the city was packed to capacity on February 28, Friday for the screening  of the first ever international Tulu movie ‘Nirel’ which has aroused much expectations. A formal function held to release the film in the city was inaugurated by Sumathi, the mother of Shodhan Prasad, the  producer of the film.

The film has been brought out by Sandhya Creations and is directed by Ranjith Bajpe. It was shot entirely in UAE.

Speaking on the occasion, Shodhan Prasad said the film was a stupendous success in Dubai where it was screened earlier.

Director Ranjith Bajpe  struck a note of confidence when he said the  film lovers of the region would watch the film and  help in its success.

 San Poojary, co-producer, lead actresses Deepthi Salian and Varuna Shetty and lead actor Anoop Sagar also spoke on the occasion. Abhishek SN, music director, Rajneesh Amin, Art Director,  and other cast and crew of the movie were present.

   Akshata Rao, Abhishek, Shilpa, Pramod, Shivkumar  and Dubai based entrepreneur Harish Sherigar  are the playback singers of the film. ‘Nirel’ is  based on the Kannada script "Nadu Naduve"  authored by Karthik Gowda who also wrote the screenplay for Nirel. The dialogues are by Ranjith Bajpe.
