Finale of Tulu laugh riot ’Bale Thelipaale - June 29

Mangalore, June 28, 2014:  Finale of Tulu laugh riot ’Bale Thelipaale season 2’ with a jackpot of Rs 2 lakh up for grabs will be held Shastavu Sri Bhoothanatheshwara Temple premises at Badaga Yedapadavu, Mijar, Mangalore on June 29. Eight teams will compete for the first prize jackpot. The programme will commence at 11am and continue till the end of the competition. The finalists include some of the winners of ’Bale Thelipaale Season-I.

Top eight teams of season II competed with top 8 of season I in the semi finals. Eight finalists are Harini Kalavider, Farangipete; Prashamsha, Kaup; Shobha Rai and team; Thelikeda Tenali; Friends, Mangalore; Umesh and team, Mijar; Kudlada Thelikeda Kalavida and team, Mangalore and Abhinaya, Udupi. Two more teams may gain direct lateral entry into finals if they qualify. A total of 32 teams entered the fray with first audition in January.

Vijaynath Vittal Shetty, chief coordinator of the temple and Shivasharan, director of Namma TV will judge the performances. Sri Lakshmivara Tirtha Swamiji of Sri Shiroor Math, K Abhayachandra Jain, minister for fisheries and youth empowerment and sports, Nalin Kumar Kateel, MP will witness the finale along with celebrity actors Shivadwaj and Yajna Shetty, music director Gurukiran, Vijaynath Vittal Shetty told reporters here on Saturday.

The second best team will take home Rs 1.5 lakh, third prize Rs 1 lakh; fourth prize Rs 75,000; fifth prize Rs 50,000, and sixth prize Rs 25,000. In addition, special prizes will be given for best script’ and best female character. Snippets of season II finale will be telecast on NammaTV every Monday to Friday from 8.15pm to 8.45pm with repeat at 10.30am and 2.30pm. Date of telecast will be announced on NammaTV through regular promos.
