Mangalore, June 28, 2014: State Health and Family Welfare Minister UT Khader has said that Dialysis Centres will be set up in every taluk in the best interests of patients suffering from kidney ailments.
He was speaking after handing over a Dialysis machine to the Government District Wenlock Hospital on behalf of the Mangalore Round Table 155 and Mangalore Ladies Circle 82 in the city on June 28, Saturday.
The Minister further appreciated the service activities of Mangalore Round Table and said the new dialysis machine would benefit patients to a great extent.
The Minister further said under Arogyashree Scheme free dialysis facility will be provided to patients twice a week.
Capt. Ganesh Karnik, MLC was present as a chief guest, said inspired by Round Table, he too would donate a dialysis machine to the Government Hospital.
Mahabala Maarla,Mayor, Dane D’Souza, President of Mangalore Round Table 155, Naveen Cardoza, Vice President, Sharol Pinto, President of Ladies Circle, Lavina D’Souza, Vice President, Dr Rajeshwari Devi, Superintendent of Wenlock and others were present.
