Mangalore Today News Network

Udupi, Nov 17,2016 : A 70 year old man who was desperately  running to the  post office almost every day since the past few days to collect his pension but was reportedly turned away by the  staff citing   insufficient change,  has  died on November 16, Wednesday.  It has been gathered that he was in dire need of pension amount for his treatment purpose.

DemonetisationThe deceased is Mahabala Poojary, a resident of Rajeeva Nagar near Palimar. He was a diabetic and has left behind his wife Indira Poojarti (65) who too is sick.

It has been gathered that the pension which Mahabala Poojary used to get was the only  financial support which the couple had and he was in dire need of the pension amount for his medical treatment .

The post office  personnel have however denied the charges made against them. A staff even revealed that inadequate cash is making it difficult for them to disburse pension.

It has effected the people with minimum funds much . Sad news . We cannot blame the Center for such things because people are taking the advantage of the situation and trying to trouble the middle class.
