Criticizing Jagadish Karanth, HJV chief, he said that although he is trying to wash his hands off the situation by claiming that the men involved in the attack are not members of the HJV, people have seen HJV members assaulting the revelers on TV in the name of protecting Indian culture.
Congress workers and leaders Praveenchandra Alva, Mithun Rai, Sadashiva Ullal, P. V. Mohan, Chethan Kumar, Umesh Devadiga, and T. K. Sudhir were also present.
