Mangaluru, Dec 28, 2014: The Tejodiya programme of GT Foundation was inaugurated on December 27, Saturday by Ananthakrishna, Non-Executive Chairman of Karnataka Bank.
In his address, Ananthakrishna said business enterprises along with their business activities must also contribute towards protecting and promoting the rich cultural heritage and also work towards social causes. He also hailed the good works done by Dr V Ravichandran and his team of GT Foundation.
MV Narasimhachari, Director of Kala Samarpana Foundation of Chennai was the chief guest. Veteran dancer K Muralidhar Rao was conferred the Tejodiya Award on the occasion. Financial aid was provided to one Rehamath for his eye treatment.
Indira Ravichandran, Hari Ravichandran, Vidya Ravichandran, Trustees were present. Anjali Chadda presented a Bharatnatyam programme.
Dr. Ravichandran informed on the occasion that the Foundation would join hands with Akshaya Patra and increase the number of kids benefitting from the mid-day meal programme from the the present 25000 to 50,000.
