Bantwal: Youth hacked to death by assailants at Maripalla; Six arrested

Mangalore, June 22, 2014: A youth identified as Naushad was hacked to death by a gang of assailants near the Maripalla mosque on June 21, Saturday evening. Naushad’s friend Sameer sustained injuries in the attack. It is believed that Naushad (27) was killed to avenge the murder of one Nooruddin in 2011. Naushad was an accused in the case apart from being wanted by the police in several other cases.

Bantwal Rural Police are investigating the case and arrested Six suspects in connection with the case on Sunday.

FARANGIPET MURDR CASE

The deceased was the son of Balekai Khader and had left to the place near Maripalla mosque along with Sameer after he received a call by someone on his mobile phone.

However, he was attacked by a gang no sooner he alighted from the car. Though Naushad tried to escape, the assailants severed his hands and he reportedly died on the spot. Sameer who has been injured has been hospitalised.
