Bantwal : Bus lands in drain in bid to avert collision with tipper

Bantwal, July 05, 2014:  As many as 20 passengers of a private bus sustained minor scratch injuries when the  bus landed in a drain after the driver  lost control over the vehicle in his bid to avert collision with an oncoming tipper at Kuddupadavu on Friday July 4.

 

The mishap occurred when the  bus was passing though the Kuddupadavu junction enroute Perla from Vittal. The ten wheeled tipper came in its way and the bus driver suddenly  veered to the roadside when the tipper driver applied brake. The rear of the tipper  brushed past the bus and the bus eventually landed in  a drain.

The window panes of the bus were broken  and the driver and the conductor were among those injured.
