Autorickshaw driver hacked to death at Polali

Mangalore, Mar 21, 2013: Polali in the outskirts of the city is in the grips of fear after an autorickshaw driver was killed by a gang of unidentified assailants early morning on March 21, Friday.
The deceased is Rajesh (30) hailing from Kalladka. Sources said the assailants, four in number, arrived in two bikes and attacked Rajesh grievously with sharp weapons. Rajesh who collapsed at the spot was rushed to the hospital by the locals.However, he breathed his last on way.
Though the exact motive behind the murder is not known, the suspicion is that it might be an act of revenge as the deceased Rajesh is said to be an accused in a murder case.
Shops and business establishments in the area downed their shutters following the gruesome incident.
Police are conducting the investigations.
