The incident had taken place on August 21 when three bus crew  along with two women were seated  on the side seat right next to the driver’s seat in the Bayar bus operating on the Eliyarpadavu-Mangaluru route. Based on the complaint, the conductor asked the three men to vacate their seat and asked them to sit  on the back seat.

In retaliation, one among the three identified as Rizwan had attacked Naveen along with some others. Naveen had later lodged a complaint against  four persons namely  Imran, Ansar, Shareef, Rizwan and Ameer.
