Sadhvi Kamal equates Alwar cow vigilantes with Bhagat Singh and Azad

Jaipur, Apr 20 2017, DH: Three weeks after a Muslim dairy farmer in Rajasthan’s Alwar, Pehlu Khan, was allegedly killed by Cow vigilantes, controversial Hindu leader Sadhvi Kamal has equated lynching accused to freedom fighters.

Sadhvi said that those accused of lynching are equal to freedom fighters such as Bhagat Singh or Chandrasekhar Azad.

In a video on social media, the 39-year-old Sadhvi who’s purportedly seen as meeting Vipin Yadav, one of the people arrested on charges of assaulting Pehlu Khan on April 1.

Sadhvi confirmed to DH that she told Vipin that you are equal to freedom fighters, Chandrashekhar Azad and Bhagat Singh. In the video, Kamal says to Vipin , "You must teach everyone in jail to say jai gau mata and you should not be scared anyone. Eat, rest and sleep well".

Further while explaining the motive behind the recorded video she said, "I wanted the message should get spread that all those who are sent to jail are not criminals. Bhagat Singh and Chandrashekhar Azad too went to jail and they are known as heroes. Similarly, one day youth like Yadav will also be known as heroes in the future for protecting cows.

Vipin is one of five accused in the Alwar lynching case.
