Couple, 7-yr-old son knocked down by truck

Bengaluru, Sep 22, 2017 : Three people of a family, including a seven-year-old child, died after a truck knocked down their Honda Activa scooter on Wednesday night on Hosur Road.

The deceased have been identified as Abdul Khaleel (34), his wife Sultana (28) and their son Abdul Syed (7), all residents of Ramachandrapuram in Srirampuram. They were going to meet Khaleel’s parents in Madiwala.

The police said Khaleel and his wife Sultana were wearing helmets but their son was not. Khaleel was carrying two bags on the two-wheeler. Around 11 pm, the speeding truck hit them when they were taking a turn on Hosur Road near St John’s Hospital. Syed died on spot and Khaleel and Sulatana were shifted to St John’s Hospital, where they were declared brought dead. The driver of the truck abandoned the vehicle and fled the scene.

The Madiwala traffic police have registered a case and are investigating.
