How did the concept of a massager backpack EUME backpack come about?
The idea for the massager backpack came out of a conversation between me and my son (who was studying at that time) about the need for shoulder bags that would help carry heavy weight, while not straining the back. We wanted to create a product that will add value to people’s lifestyle and help the on – the – go generation who are leading a highly hectic lifestyle. We wanted to be chic, stylish, convenient yet comforting.

What are its unique features, apart from the massager?
The massager is just one of the many intriguing features of the product. It has a port where you can charge external devices like your mobile phones, tablets, etc. thus saving you from the drudgery of looking for charging points. It has specially engineered anti – theft zippers, is extremely lightweight and water resistant. It has smart compartmentalisation and a torso adjustment option to allow you to customise the bag to suit your body type too. This feature is so indispensable that if it’s a backpack it has to be a massager backpack.

Why do you think the urban youth need this kind of a bag, now more than ever?
A recent study showed that every fifth youth in India is suffering from a spinal ailment today. According to doctors, there has been a rise in problems related to the back and the spine among the youth by 60% in the last couple of years. With the lifestyle that we are leading, it is become imperative to launch a product that will be able to combat this issue without biting into their choc – o – bloc schedule or involving much of their participation.

A backpack like this, therefore, was the need of the hour as it is our duty to protect and nurture this segment rightly called the ‘building blocks’ of the nation. Also, the youth today is career oriented and aspirational than ever before and hence need a product that will keep them unstoppable and empower them to push the envelope without having them to worry about any limitations or constraints.
