World’s first BASE jumping dog leaping off a cliff in a wingsuit goes viral!

May 31, 2014:  Dean Potter created history by BASE jumping off a cliff with his dog strapped on to his back. Whisper became the world’s first BASE jumping dog in a wingsuit to have leapt off a cliff in this frightening stunt.

 

 

 

 

 

 

The video was filmed on a GoPro camera from the dog sliding on to an isolated rock through a pulley and performing the stunt with its owner, to finally landing on the ground using a parachute. This jump is reportedly the first of its kind and the dog looks completely unfazed during the jump. The video has gone viral and has been viewed over 800,000 times.

However, rock climber Dean Potter may be in for some trouble as he did not have permission from any authority to use his dog for this stunt.
