Customers sit on lavatories while they eat at the peculiar cafe popular with tourists visiting Los Angeles
If you’re looking for a new place to ’whet’ your appetite, America’s first-ever toilet themed eatery is open for business.
The Magic Restroom Cafe just outside Los Angeles invites customers to sit on lavatories instead of chairs while they dine.
But the madness doesn’t end there - the food is even served in miniature toilet bowls and urinals.
However, it doesn’t seem to bother regulars to the Taiwanese cafe who seem more than happy with the different dining experience.
"The way they serve us on top of some toilet dishes and sitting on top of a toilet seat, it’s very unique," one said.
"And some people even put their purses inside the toilets, so it’s hilarious."
Another added: "It’s really great and interesting for me because we wanted something new to try. This is a good atmosphere for me."
It may come as a surprise but this type of lavatory-based dining is nothing new in parts of Asia and manager Gin Han told Sky News they wanted to bring something new to the LA restaurant scene.
"We wanted to bring in new concepts to the United States," he said.
"We haven’t seen anything like this before, so gathering some inspirations from other foreign countries in Asia, we came up with our own product.
"We’re very excited that it’s been so popular so far."
