It could be the ultimate deterrent for shopaholics - a wallet that actually runs away if you’re in danger of overspending.
Called the Living Wallet, it has tiny wheels, as well as a speaker to voice its displeasure if you’re spending above your means.
And if things get really bad, it can even call your partner to tell them you’re about to blow the rent of a pair of shoes.
The ultimate deterrent for shopaholics? The Living Wallet rolls away if you’re about to overspend
Created in Japan, the Living Wallet has tiny wheels allowing it to roll away.
’Saving is an everlasting challenge for mankind,’ its creators say.
’We decided the problem may lie in wallets that allow people to unfold and use them easily - so we invented the wallet that can react to your financial situation.’
When paired with an app, the Living Wallet will monitor your bank account and swap between two modes, depending on how much you have to spend.
In the first, Save Mode, it slowly rolls away to discourage you.
If you catch it, it shouts for help.
Telling on you: Carry on, and it’ll actually call your partner or parents to tell them what you’re trying to do
Carry on, and it’ll actually call your partner or parents to tell them what you’re trying to do.
However, in consumption mode, when you have the cash in your account, it’ll willingly open - and even read out Amazon’s top selling products to try and help you out with your shopping splurge.
It’s only a concept at the moment, but it inventors say it could go into production soon.
