Pak Politician Sits on Trash, Drinks Sewage Water

Sep 24, 2018: In what can be called one of the most bizarre (and filthy) ways for highlighting the unhygienic condition and the faulty sewage system of the city, a Pakistani politician ate a meal on a garbage dump, sat in a garbage container and drank sewage water. Yes, you read it right!

 

As Pakistan gears up for the upcoming elections in July, Ayaz Memon Motiwala, an independent candidate from Karachi has gone viral for posting pictures and videos on social media where he can be seen sitting on a heap of garbage, lying down on sewage water and sitting in a pothole as part of his election campaign.

While many called it an attention-seeking trick, others felt that it was a unique way of highlighting the sewage and garbage problems of the city. Pakistan’s general elections are slated to take place on 25 July.
