Meet The Accidental Prime Minister Manmohan Singh with LK Advani & Lalu Prasad

July 05 2018: After unveiling the looks of reel Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi, Anupam Kher took to social media to introduce the remaining cast of The Accidental Prime Minister. He revealed the actors essaying the roles of LK Advani, Lalu Prasad Yadav and Shivraj Patil and the onscreen politicians look on point.
While Aahana Kumra of Lipstick Under My Burkha fame is set to essay the role of Priyanka Gandhi, Akshaye Khanna will be stepping into the shoes of the PM’s media adviser Sanjay Baru. Divya Seth Shah will reprise the role of Manmohan Singh’s wife, Gursharan Kaur.
The political drama is an adaptation of Sanjaya Baru’s memoir of the same name. Anupam Kher seems to have inhabited the persona of Manmohan Singh, down to his mannerisms and does not strike a single false note when it comes to the stills of his reel avatar.
