July 26, 2017: A jihadi master of disguise was caught fleeing Isis territory dressed as a woman – but appears to have forgotten one key detail.

Oh yeah, the massive beard.

The startling image was one of several released which were reportedly released by the Iraqi army – allegedly showing Isis fighters fleeing in drag during the fall of Mosul.

Mosul fell to Iraqi forces earlier this month after a bitter nine-month battle in which an estimated million people were displaced from their homes.

It’s not clear whether all the pictures actually DO date from the fall of Mosul earlier this month (the bearded jihadi image seems to be from 2016), but it was widely reported that fighters were fleeing in disguise.

Earlier this month, the Iraqi government declared victory over Daesh in Mosul after an eight-month battle to recapture the city from terrorists.

Iraq, backed by a US-led coalition, launched a mission in October to retake Mosul from Daesh, which overran the city in 2014.

But it came at a great cost – thousands of civilians were killed in fighting and an estimated 1million people were displaced.

Daesh had vowed to ‘fight to the death’ but Brig Gen Yahya Rasool said 30 militants were killed as they attempted to swim across the River Tigris.

The terrorist group also sent women suicide bombers among civilians as the city was liberated.

One blew up herself, a baby in her arms and two soldiers.
